Didcot Casuals Football Club

In addition to our popular Rising Stars group, Didcot Casuals FC ran the Mini Miss Kickers section between 2013-2018, for girls from 5 years old up to the age of 11 years where they came along to learn about football in a friendly and fun atmosphere.  This programme was so successful that The FA designated the club worthy of becoming an FA SSE Wildcat Centre, and from April 14th 2018 Mini Miss Kickers will end and become Didcot Casuals SSE Wildcats Centre

Like Rising Stars, the girls were taught basic footballing skills as well as life skills such as cooperation, helpfulness and teamwork in a pressure-free environment and without playing alongside boys, which some girls can find intimidating. Parents were actively encouraged to support their children both during the sessions and at other times by practising with them. Our qualified coaches ensured the children learned and enjoyed themselves in equal measure.

As the children progressed through the group, we set up girls teams from Under 9 to take part in games in the Oxford Mail Girls Football League. The Under 9s play monthly festivals, and from Under 10, the girls teams will play matches against other clubs.

Training sessions last about one hour, and took place on Sunday mornings from 11.00 am - 12.00 pm, with FA-qualified and CRB-checked coaches. The training sessions are free.

Please ensure that you bring a drink for your child (water or squash), your child has shinpads and, if possible, football boots, and during sunny periods you bring suncream to protect your child's skin during training.

The Mini Miss Kickers train in Brasenose Park. Parking is in the school car park entered via Manor Crescent. The programme will move to Aureus School on April 15th as part of the transition to the Didcot Casuals SSE Wildcats Centre.
